e-Mail 2 SMS

You can send an SMS to an Omantel mobile subscriber using your Omantel e-Mail account at no extra cost. There are two methods of doing this:

• Via Webmail
  
  
  1. Log in to Omantel Webmail
  
  
  2. Type in Send the GSM number you want to send to. Example:
     9689300610@sms.om
  3. Write the subject...
  4. Write your message...
  5. Send your e-Mail

Note:

You can send an SMS message using Omantel Webmail only.
The maximum text should not exceed 137 characters which includes email address, subject and text.
Should the recipient wish to reply to your message, they simply do so the same way in which they reply to any other e-Mail.

SMS 2 e-Mail

send an e-Mail from any GSM phone to any Omantel e-Mail address at the cost of an SMS!

How Does it work?

1. From your mobile, select Messages and then Write Messages

2. Type in the e-Mail address you want to send to example: anyemail@omantel.net.om

3. Do not leave a space

4. Write immediately your message use the Brackets to type the Subject. Example: (Hello)

5. Do not leave a space continue your message.

6. Send your SMS to 1236

Note:

You can send an e-Mail from your SMS to an existing Omantel Internet Subscriber only.
The maximum text should not exceed 160 characters which includes e-Mail address, subject and text.
Should the recipient wish to reply to your message, they simply do so the same way in which they reply to any other e-Mail.

What does it cost?

A charge of 10 Baiza per SMS of 160 character text message sent.
