In
consequence of the government and company policies
toward liberalization of the of the telecommunication
sector, and due to the new regulatory environment and
the new licensing procedures, we define the main role of
the Operators services section is to account mange the
new market segment called Business Partners.
Guidelines for defining business partners definition
and management processes are still to be formed once
this section is transformed, we expect things to be
clear soon. However, this section duties and
responsibilities currently include managing projects
that fall under the category of telecom operators as
follows:

International Operators:1.
studying appropriate methodologies to manage the
relationship with international companies that Omantel
enters into service provision agreements with. These
include those with partnership or revenue sharing basis.
Orange Business Services
is one of the examples for this. With Orange
Business Services we
implemented signed agreement which includes facilitating
the SWIFT service provision to banks and financial
institutes and support the migration from X2.5 to the IP
based system. Moreover, we will work on service
provisions that will be offered be Orange Business
Services and manage
them. 2. receiving offers from international companies
and suggesting Business opportunities to be studied by
appropriate departments.

KOM:
we will become the contact point for service provisions
for our customers at KOM to assure customer
satisfaction. Our services will include call centers,
leased lines, IP telephony, ISDN primary access and
others.
·
Audio
text: we
will account manage their business and provide them with
a single point of contact to follow-up their position
and support them until they are capable of producing
revenue in line with other companies in the region.
·
Internet
Service/Content providers:
we will account manage
ISPs as they are Omantel customers whom we consider
partner ISPs utilizing our network to sell their
services.
·
Interconnection
agreements:
According to the telecom regulatory environment and the
licensing procedures, Omantel will sign interconnection
agreements with telecom operators including subsidiary
mobile, fixed, ISP …etc. Account management of these
operators whom we consider business partners will be
handled by operators services section.

Bulk
Capacity resellers:
Omantel is looking
forward to work with bulk capacity resellers and
envisages the potential business in this area.
